How To Do:
The four major
sources of traffic for your blog
Every blog has or may have four
sources of traffic: search engines, social networks, other blogs / sites and
paid traffic. In order to attract people
interested in your blog is good to know some things about each of these
sources.
1. Search engines
Traffic from search engines is composed of people who come
to your blog after a search on one of the search engines (eg. Google).
The amount of traffic on search engines is directly
dependent on the degree of optimization (SEO) of your blog. It is more likely
that someone to click on a link appeared on the first page of search engines
than the one that appears on these pages. It is therefore very important that
your blog to appear on the front page if you want to attract readers seeking
information about a particular topic.
However you should not forget that it is important to
write for readers, not for search engines. A blogger who is trying too hard to
get on the first page in search of his niche, and they supraoptimizeaza blog,
is likely to irritate their readers and make them not come back on that blog.
There are many ways in which readers can do SEO without
noticing it. Using images is a very subtle way to do SEO, you optimize a single
post or you can follow some basic tips all without upsetting your readers with
aggressive optimization techniques.
2. Social networks
A second source of traffic are social networks like
Twitter and Facebook. There are many who believe that social networks are a
waste of time and are used only by those with problems in the society or those
with a lot of free time. It is important to understand that social networks are
a powerful tool for promotion.
Today social networks are used by everyone, from a very
small company from the ground floor of a building up to big corporations and
the use of such networks can bring a significant development.
Increased traffic comes from social networks depends
heavily on one thing: you. As you are more involved, the more people will
follow and result in even more people will come from your account on Twitter or
Facebook to your blog.
Twitter
Twitter is a vital instrument for promoting blogs and
interaction with readers.
If you do not have a Twitter account it's time to make
your one. If possible, try to register with your name as a username or a
relevant name for your niche blog. After, you have to go as soon as at least
100 foloweri. Depending on the number of visitors to your blog which in turn
Twitter account, this can be as simple as writing a post announcing that you
are now on Twitter and you say how you can be tracked. It should be the first
step.
If still does not have 100 followers track begins with
those individuals who are likely to follow you in turn. How do you find these
people? If the number of those who are watching you is approximately equal to
the number of those who follow them then that person is likely to begin to
follow you in turn. Also, for starters, it would be better to watch and those
who are watching you on you, which can be set to be done automatically. Of
course you want to find people who are interested in the subject of your blog
but there's no problem if you get less of these limits. After all it is a
social network where meeting new people is encouraged.
Besides these methods you can use and some plugins, or
sites that TweetAdder tool that will help you grow quickly follower number them
in a very short period of time.
The best way to make others follow you on Twitter is to be
interesting. As your tweets are more interesting the more likely to respond to
your followers and their followers will find this in turn you're interested.
You should stay away to send tweets or tweets quotes automatic music you are
listening. They are so annoying and for your followers quickly click on the
button "unfollow".
Twitter is also an opportunity to promote a brand. Put
your photo or logo as your profile image and Customize your background image on
the homepage.
Use hashtag sites
Hashtag are an ideal way to attract interest in a topic
foloweri because all those who use a stream talking about the same topic. It is
also a great way for your tweets to be seen and those who do not watch it yet,
because people using hash-tag that you should not watch to see your tweets.
For example, if you talk about the iPhone using the # iPad
hastag, your tweet will show everyone in the stream # iPad. Thus interact with
people who use a hashtag to your blog topic, because all these people are
potential future readers of the blog.
It's hard to stay organized when you use the default page
of Twitter. You should consider using a client like TweetDeck and HootSuite
that allow you to read more Twitter streams at the same time help you better
organize the people you follow. At the same time have access to other features
such as scheduled or searching tweets much easier.
Facebook
Facebook is much more than viewing pictures, farm building
and donation of coins. Facebook is a powerful marketing tool. If we look at the
amount of information that Facebook have about the demographics of users, about
their areas of interest we can see that Facebook offers huge marketing
opportunity.
As a blogger is very important to use Facebook and you
create a page for fans. The most important component is the fan page wall
(Wall) that your messages are displayed but also the fans. Wall messages not
only reach your fans but fans and friends!
Creating a fan page is very simple and can create an
unlimited number of such pages using the same Facebook account. You should
create one for each blog you have. After creating the page that can be
optimized then you can begin to different campaigns.
3. Other blogs and sites
An important source of traffic for your blog is the other
blogs or sites. To be mentioned in an article by a blogger so important is
beneficial in terms of direct traffic but also increase credibility with search
engines. A sure way to attract such mentions is writing articles useful and
interesting.
You may even approach other bloggers and presentation of
an article or two on your blog that you think would be of interest to them. In
this way, are likely to be mentioned on their blogs. Try to write posts so you
do not appear to be spam. Here's an example:
Hello X,
I read your blog in a while and I are very useful items
that you publish.
I loved the article about myself ... and I wrote one on
the same theme: ... If you have time can you look over it and tell me what you
think.
Y.
From my point of view it is pointless to go on the idea of
link exchange site, even if it's tempting.
Also, comments on other blogs can bring a steady traffic
and quality. Find articles on the same theme or niche of your blog and try to
make comments on those blogs. In this way, visitors will find those blogs and
forums and it is possible to visit you. It is very important however to comment
interesting and useful.
Another strategy to attract visitors is through the use of
guest posts, that is by publishing articles on other blogs, as published by the

4. Paid traffic
The third type of traffic is paid and includes display
advertising, Google AdWords, Pay Per Click (PPC), Pay Per View (PPV) and paid
posts appearing on other blogs.
If you have money, paid traffic is the easiest and fastest
way to get traffic to a blog again. However, most bloggers have a limited
budget, so that they will spend a significant period of time using free traffic
generation methods. However monitoring should not be overlooked trafiului and
its sources. If at any time you want to call and paid traffic will have to know
how to assess the investment and thus you know if your investment was worth it
or not. There are many people who buy a lot of advertisements on blogs without
knowing but if traffic comes from those ads to make or not readers / customers.
